About Me

Hello readers! My name is Uma, and I'm a graduating senior at the University of Denver. This portfolio is a compilation of my work during my time at DU, through my major in Biology to my minor in Writing Practices.

 

I am passionate about Ecology and Evolution, which is what I plan to pursue in graduate school in the fall of 2021. But I love writing as well, in many genres, encompassing papers presenting my biology research to poetry and creative fiction.

I call many places home, from the ocean to the desert, the Rockies to the Appalachians, the cities of Europe to the back roads of the rural American south. My experiences have shaped my writing, and I hope to continue to travel more, to experience more, and to write more.
